Congratulations to our Eastside National Merit Semifinalists and National Achievement Semifinalists! Thirty Alachua County Public School students have been named semifinalists in the prestigious 2010 National Merit Scholarship Program. Eastside High School, home of the district’s rigorous International Baccalaureate program, has 12 of this year’s semifinalists. Ten of the district’s semifinalists attend Buchholz High School, and eight are students at Gainesville High School, which offers the accelerated Cambridge program. The program recognizes the top scoring 1% of African-American high school students on the PSAT/NMSQT exam.
